Whilst studying at uni, there are lots of things you can do to improve your CV before you graduate...
If you're wanting to gain skills, experience or just find out about the options available, your Student Union has an 'Opportunities Pop Up'.
This aims to provide you with lots of information on different things, including:
- Volunteering: Including short-term opportunities available through the Students' Union, how to apply for volunteering roles in the community and how to evidence your volunteering experience on your CV.
- Training: Which provides transferable skills in addition to your degree study that you need once you graduate.
- 'Connect': This is our Students' Union peer mentoring project which supports the forming of social links throughout the university.
- Employability Support Fund: A system of £50 grants sponsored by Santander which support students taking steps to enhance their employability.
Interested? Come along and have a chat with our Volunteering and Training Coordinator, Bee Johnson. She will be available from 12pm onwards. To find out where your Opportunites Pop Up is being held, head to your SU.
No need to book an appointment - just turn up on the day!
