Chester is home to the most complete city walls in Britain dating from the Roman occupation 2,000 years ago, built to protect the city.
You can take a 2 mile walk of the walls and admire the beautiful heritage of Chester.
For some shopping therapy, the unique 700-year-old rows are home to both independent and high street names. Or why not visit the 1,000-year-old Cathedral? Its free to enter!
The Eastgate clock- one of the most photographed in the world was built to celebrate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee in 1897 and restored in summer 2015. It now stands proudly in the Chester city centre.
