Appreciating your bestie... on a BUDGET

By bzbeth 30 Jul 2019

It's World Friendship Day!

Which makes it the perfect occasion to really spoil your best friends and let them know how much you love and appreciate them.

You may be panicking and thinking that it'll cost a fortune, but that's where you're wrong. It doesn't need to break the bank and just think of the smile that it'll put on their face. That will make it all worth it!

Not sure what to buy? Here are some ideas:

1. Personalised gift box

No one knows your bestie as well as you do. So, get creative and put together a personalised gift box of their favourite things. Just make sure you set a budget and stick to it - it's easy to get carried away on this one. Think of shops like Home Bargains, B&M and The Range where you can pick up lots of little things for a small price.

2. Spa day

Who doesn’t love a relaxing day in a spa? A quick search of either Wowcher or Groupon will throw up tonnes of options for this one. If you really want to treat them then get a package with a treatment included but that's when it can start getting a bit pricey.

3. DIY aromatherapy

This is a gift that keeps on giving! Fill their room with the soothing scent of essential oils with this sleek dispenser. Hours of relaxation lay ahead for your bestie with this and when you go and visit them, you can get in on it too.

4. Heated slippers

Is your bestie one of those people who always complains about feeling cold and having cold feet? Be the person to solve their issue with a pair of amazing heated slippers. A quick whiz in the microwave and they will keep their toes nice and toastie all night long!

5. A bestie lazy day

This is one for a rainy day with those heated slippers when you haven't got much money in the bank, but it's probably the best one! Find your favourite movies on Netflix or childhood shows online - either way, stick them on, stock up on snacks and binge the day away...

6. Eventbrite

There are loads of free or cheap events on sites like Eventbrite that could just be something that you've both been DYING to do/attend for ages. This is a great way to find something you know they’ll love or to try something completely new to make lots of amazing new memories together.

Whether you've got money to spare or not, just let your BBFL know how much you appreciate them on World Friendship Day, even if that means just posting a picture of them on Insta.
