You’ve enrolled onto your course, been to your first lectures and you're starting to realise that things aren’t exactly how you imagined them to be...
I'm not being a Negative Nancy, I'm talking about the good parts!
- Being independent
Some people seem to be frightened of independence but let's be real - it's fab! The best thing is mummy and daddy won't be telling you what to do. Although you should probably still listen to their advice when given!
- Beauty sleep
You will get plenty of this, especially with your flexible timetable. Make the most of the naps whilst you can!
- Using 'Sorry, I'll be at uni' excuse to get out of every family event
And it works every time!
- Student discounts
Yes, you can still get student discount if you're not at university however there are more perks and discounts out there for University students. Unidays and Student Beans will become your best friends!
- Eating pizza
For breakfast, lunch and dinner!
- Summer holidays last forever!
Remember when you used to think that your 6 weeks summer holidays were the best thing since sliced bread? Well, that has nothing on the 4/5 months you have off from uni to spend with your friends, family and children! Make the most of it while you can.
- Not having to pay tax
You'll miss this once you're in full-time employment!
- LOTS of free time
Most students will roughly have 3 or 4 lectures a week which are usually only between an hour to 3 hours long. So what are you going to do with all that spare time that's waiting to be used up?
- Meeting new people
University friends are friends for life so make the most of your university student status and meet as many people as you can.
This particular attire is considered acceptable to wear anywhere by students. Whether it's bedtime, lecture time or shopping time being caught in your jim-jams ain't no biggy!
